This is a floor plan of Deck 1 of the USS Raven, the ship commanded by the Hansens who were sent out to study the Borg. This was done at the request of :icontiberius47: for a novel he is writing about the Hansens' adventures.

This was ALOT of work... It may not look like it, but I had to conform to the obvious restrictions of the size of the ship, as well as the settings and placement of things in the book that Tiberius wrote.

Done in AutoCAD 2008, plotted as a .pdf, then finalized in photoshop.

Awesome work. I would love to see Deckplans for more ships that Star Trek hasn't bothered to put out yet, like the Intrepid class.

Um, was the Raven even a registered Starfleet vessel? Its registry prefix and the fact that it was manned by a pair of researchers and their daughter kinda says otherwise to me. In fact, I'd say it probably doesn't have a "USS" in the name.

Dark Frontier refers to the ship as the USS Raven. And there's nothing onscreen that says it was just SS.

However, the dedication plaque and actual hull markings clearly showed "S.S. Raven". [link]

It was just the database that listed it as USS Raven.

I just checked the episode. The dedication plaque says "THE RAVEN", with no mention of a USS or SS or anything. And the hull markings are only visible when Tuvok and Seven are getting out. All I can see is the two Ss. I can see all of the final S and a tiny bit of the first S. THere's nothing there to indicate there wasn't a U in front of it.

In short, nothing has appeared on the screen that shows that it is just SS with no U, and there is an onscreen reference to the USS. Thus, it was USS Raven.

Very nice and detailed work. "The Raven" is one of those nearly forgotten ships that had such a huge impact. Very nice!

Whoa! You can plot from AutoCad to a .pdf? I've been trying to get my drawings out, but have had to export into a wmf and them play with it in another program. It looses a lot of definition that way. 'Course, I'm still useing AutoCad 2000.

yup... but you have to have the full version of Adobe Acrobat too... not just the reader... then you go File>;Plot then pic Adobe PDF Writer from your list of plotters. :)

Ok, I've got Adobe Acrobat Professional. I can plot the file, but I can't seem to open it with anything. What did I do wrong?
